Our Experience
Don Mueang (DMK) Airport Red Line Train
We arrived in Bangkok from Chiang Mai at rush hour, and rather than brave the Bangkok traffic jam, we opted for the Don Mueang Airport Rail Link because riding on a train is more reliable than competing with other commuters to book a Grab Car or hail a taxi. While the train connection took quite a walk, it was convenient and pleasant for us, even with luggage, because elevators and ramps are available for easier transfers.
The train cars can be a bit warm, especially when they get crowded as more passengers come in.
Suvarnabhumi Airport Rail Link
Thanks to the Suvarnabhumi Airport Rail Link, we have easily fetched friends from Suvarnabhumi Airport. It’s fast, convenient, and has wider train cars so more people can ride. It serves more stations, so be prepared for lengthier travel time, and be sure to add some time allowance when you decide to take the train to catch your flight.
